Survey about English

Here is a survey that I have just created, using Survey Monkey. It's a little bit of fun and some practice for me, but it's also true that we have subjective feelings about language and grammar. So I wanted to play around with that.

Please tell me if it works and what you think about it?

  1. Hi Lucy, I think people look at each other's blogs but usually do not leave any messages. I have tried in some but people mostly did not allow messages to be published. Let me see if you allowed this function.
Anyway, your survey is well done, yet I did not know what to say about the first task, so I just left the tenses in the order set by you. I have not preferences.
As for Edmodo, 5 people turned in their answers to your quiz, and 5 people answered your poll. I cannot see my answers as I am the owner of the group, yet I answered as well.
    All the best. Svetlana

    1. With regard to the survey, I got the idea from Mario Rinvolucri who wrote 'Grammar Games'. He asked his students something like this and got some interesting answers. In my case, the present continuous tense in Spanish is very pleasing; 'ando'. It's simple and somehow conveys the idea of a continung action. And an English word that I really like is 'succinct'. The sound in my mouth is pleasing and I like the idea too!

  2. Hi, Lucy. Your survey was on a very original topic and I think the questions require more thinking than you'd expect. I might give different answers if I were to take the survey again.

  3. Hi Lucy. I agree with Efrossini. I simply don't know what to answer to the last question. It depends on many things. Tomorrow I could give completely different answers. Anyway, now you can use this tool with your students and that's great!
